Grit Your Teeth

I am pleased to announce that my memoir, "Seahorse," and my poem, "Grit" will both be published in October by AHC literary magazine! I will link when it goes live.

An Excerpt from SEAHORSE:

"And then, on the banks of the Black River, water rushed to the shore, making the acquaintance of the cool air, creating coats of ice on the shore’s branches, rocks, and foliage. I thought about how we sometimes think we’re just passing through, but remain, like that water now frozen on wind and water whipped blades of grass, like fall leaves lying scattered on the tops of small ponds, frozen in place, abandoned by a gust of wind betraying its fare, all in wait for a sun promising melt—freedom."
