Pleased to announce that a short poem I wrote about animal welfare and environmentalism, "Sinclair," has been published by MENICUS, and is featured in their volume # 10, issue 2, PAGE 82, and can be found here: https://uploads.documents.cimpress.io/v1/uploads/a9a823b8-4794-4de7-b2e8-135218cc1763~110/original?tenant=vbu-digital
An excerpt from the piece:
You looked like death on stick legs, scaly feet on hot, filthy concrete.
A bird-zombie.
A poor man and his crew of other poor men
Smoking in the alleyway–a break from cooking food in oil–
Called out to us: “That bird there needs help. Been baking like a
biscuit in dis’ heat all day.”
